Children’s Ministry Leader / Worker (Part-Time)

About the Role
We are prayerfully seeking Children's Ministry Leader / Worker who love Christ, love children, and desire to help them grow in faith through God’s Word, meaningful relationships and the shared life of the church.
This is a hands-on ministry role involving teaching, encouraging and engaging with children in ways that are biblical, relational and appropriate to their age. The successful applicants will serve alongside our pastoral team and volunteers, and help parents fulfil their God-given, primary responsibility for nurturing their children’s faith.
We welcome applicants with different levels of ministry experience. Positions may be appointed at either a Leaker or Worker level, depending on experience, theological training, gifts and capacity for ministry leadership. Leader-level appointments will include greater responsibility for ministry planning, development and supporting volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
Teach God’s Word faithfully in an engaging and age-appropriate way, helping children understand the gospel, know Christ and grow in their faith.
Build caring, Christ-centred relationships with children, encouraging and praying for their spiritual growth.
Prepare and lead Sunday School lessons and other children’s ministry activities, including appropriate teaching materials and activities.
Work collaboratively with the pastoral team and ministry volunteers in planning and carrying out children’s ministry.
Communicate and work appropriately with parents, helping them fulfil their God-given, primary responsibility for nurturing their children’s faith.
At the Leader level, take greater responsibility for ministry planning and development, and support and guide volunteers serving in children’s ministry.
Requirements
Essential
A committed and mature Christian faith, with beliefs aligned with the Reformed evangelical convictions and ministry direction of our church.
A genuine love for children and a desire to help them know Christ, understand God’s Word and grow in their faith.
Previous experience serving or working with children, preferably in children’s ministry, Sunday School or a Christian ministry setting.
A sound understanding of the Bible and an ability to communicate biblical truth clearly and appropriately to children.
Humble and dependable, with a willingness to serve collaboratively as part of a ministry team.
Able to relate well to children and build trusting, Christ-centred relationships.
Good communication skills and an ability to work well with church leaders, volunteers and parents.
Culturally sensitive and comfortable serving in a multicultural church community.
A valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable
Biblical, theological or ministry training.
Experience planning lessons, programs or other children’s ministry activities.
For appointment at the Leader level, experience supporting or leading ministry volunteers would be highly regarded.
Employment Details
Paid part-time position (approximately 8–10 hours per week on average), including Sundays and preparation time. Depending on ministry needs, the role may also involve Friday evenings. Hours can be discussed and adjusted based on the applicant’s availability.
Accountability & Support
The Youth Ministry Worker will serve under the guidance of the Lead Pastor and ministry leadership team, and will receive ongoing mentoring, training and support.

Youth Ministry Worker (Part-Time)

About the Role
We are prayerfully seeking a Youth Ministry Worker who loves Christ and has a heart to walk alongside young people as they grow in their relationship with God.
This role is well suited to someone who is still developing in ministry experience and is eager to learn, be mentored, and serve alongside our pastoral team. The successful applicant will support the youth ministry through building relationships, assisting with weekly programs, and growing in ministry skills through hands-on involvement and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with weekly youth gatherings and activities, supporting the spiritual growth and discipleship of young people
Share the gospel faithfully with young people and encourage them to grow as disciples and witnesses for Christ
Support Bible teaching and discipleship through small groups, fellowship and conversations
Work alongside and encourage youth volunteers, assisting with program coordination
Communicate and work closely with parents and church leaders
Encourage young people to participate meaningfully in the worship and life of the church
Requirements
